Sean Bolser is an attorney with the Federal Capital Appellate Resource Counsel Project. Sean graduated from Harvard College and from the New York University School of Law, where he was an Arthur Garfield Hays Fellow and recipient of the Eric Dean Bender Prize for public interest work. He clerked for the Hon. Stephen Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Sean's capital defense practice has run the gamut from state and federal trial-support and appellate representation through state post-conviction and federal habeas corpus proceedings. From 2000 through 2005, he worked as a deputy defender with the New York Capital Defender Office. After the New York Court of Appeals invalidated New York's death penalty statute, he served, from 2005 to 2009, as a deputy federal public defender in the Capital Habeas Unit of the Office of the Federal Public Defender in Los Angeles, California.
