Cristina Bordé

Cristina Bordé has served as Resource Counsel for the Federal Death Penalty Resource Counsel Project since 2020. Cristina has represented individuals on death row on appeal and in postconviction for over 20 years.  She has also represented death-eligible federal capital defendants as Learned Counsel in several federal jurisdictions.  In addition, as counsel for Latinx Initiative of the Illinois Innocence Project she represents Latinx inmates in Illinois postconviction proceedings on their claims of innocence. Cristina is a native Spanish-speaker who grew up in Colombia.
