NACDL:  HOW TO READ A MEDICAL RECORD
Join us Thurs. Jan. 15 at 12pm ET/9am PT
Our presenters will explain how clinicians approach medical documentation for legal cases, walk through the roles and authority of hospital and clinic personnel involved in creating the record, and highlight where attorneys can identify potential medical experts. We will review how diagnosis codes are created, how summary narratives are developed, and how to identify missing or incomplete information that could be significant to your theory of the case. HAT Program Announcement: Capital Mitigation Skills Workshop | Jan. 15-18, 2026 | Austin, TX
This program is limited to 36 participants who will work in six small groups.  Priority will be given to mitigation specialists and attorneys who are directly engaged in the mitigation function. We are also committed to increasing the diversity of the pool of professionals engaged in this work. If you have attended this program in the past, please do not attempt to register again.
