Christian Lamar

Before joining CRCP, Christian served as Capital Conflicts Director for the Georgia Capital Defender and Supervising Attorney for the Metro Capital Defender in Atlanta, handling death penalty conflict cases and solo capital cases across Georgia. He previously worked at the Federal Defender Office in Greenbelt, MD, and at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, where he held roles including staff attorney, felony supervisor, and Co-Chief of the inaugural Community Defender Office.

Christian earned his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and graduated with honors from LeMoyne-Owen College, a historically Black college in Memphis, TN. He also served honorably in the United States Army as an infantryman, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5.

His lifelong commitment to indigent defense has led to many notable outcomes throughout his career.
