A Notice of Intent was filed in U.S. v. Kalif Cox, Cr. 25-91 (SDNY) , after a DOJ meeting on July 2, 2025. Kalif Cox was arrested in February 2025, and the indictment with capital counts (alleged murder of a bystander) was filed March 2025. In addition to the murder, this multi-defendant indictment alleges the distribution of large quantities of drugs, sexual exploitation of a minor, receipt of child porn, and firearm distribution along with additional charges.
