Second Trump Administration Authorization (U.S. v. Spurlock, Cr. 23-00022, D.NV). On April 4, 2025, the United States filed a motion seeking a continuance of the April 22, 2025 trial date advising that "[t]he United States Attorney's Office of the District of Nevada has been directed by the Attorney General of the United States to seek the death penalty" in the case. (DE 346). No "notice of intent" was on the docket as of the end of the day. This case was a Garland DOJ no seek on July 31, 2024, but reconsidered by the Bondi DOJ with a AGCRC meeting on March 10, 2025.
