On November 18, 2025, notices of Intent to seek the death penalty were filed in U.S. v. Theodore Bland, Cr. 24-99 (DVT), DE 226 (here) and U.S. v. Shane Meehan, Cr. 22-2 (SDIN), DE 170, (here). In both of of these cases, the government had advised the court or the parties in advance that the AG had authorized the case.
